Terms & Conditions

  • Green Top reserves the right to allocate stall/stands in locations deemed suitable. Most locations stallholders arrive and fill the next available gazebo, however in certain places some stalls have to be pre allocated (can’t be outside like for like shops etc) Also on larger markets where this is duplicate stalls, these will be pre allocated to make sure that duplicate stalls are not next to each other
  • Green Top cannot guarantee exclusivity to stallholders but will, however, endeavour to limit the number of similar products/goods (for the mutual benefit of stallholders and visitors).
  • Green Top will hold a waiting list for stallholders that have not initially been accepted for stall/s. When you book online and your booking is unsuccessful, this will automatically put you on the reserve list (booking through the website is the only way to be added to this list)
  • Stallholders MUST arrive and set up in the timeframe set out for each individual market/event. Any stallholder who is late and has not informed the Market Manager may be refused onto site and forfeit their payment. These arrival times are located on the website under the individual markets, under the heading of traders ONLY information, this can ONLY be accessed when logged in
  • When arriving on site, stallholders should unload vehicles as quickly as possible and remove vehicles from site BEFORE setting up and not set up from your vehicle.
  • Stallholders MUST trade for the full duration of the event (unless prior arrangements with the Market Manager have been approved). The Market Manager will not expect to see vehicles on site until a stated time which is clearly after the time the market has finished. No vehicles will be brought on site until Market Manager advises and your stall is fully packed down. Anyone found blocking access points because this has not been adhered to may be restricted access to markets in the future.
  • Stallholders MUST only sell products that have been approved. Stock may change from time to time so please check with the Market Manager if you are contemplating selling goods/products not previously agreed and update your list on the website, and send pictures into the office (info@greentopmarkets.com)
  • Stallholders MUST trade in the space that is allocated: you are NOT allowed outside of these boundaries i.e. extra stock/display/tables/rails outside your space unless agreed with the Market Manager. You will be asked to remove anything that is outside your boundary i.e. outside your gazebo space or marked out pitch.
  • Stallholders must offload into their allocated stall and not utilise other stalls or access to other stalls unless agreed with the Market Manager.
  • Each market we will either do a video, go live on social media or take pictures of the stalls to help promote the market, if you wish not to be involved with this please email us in advance
  • Stallholders must trade in “their” space and not in aisles: your stall should be designed so that you only stand in your allocated area. If this is difficult, you may need to reconsider the design of your stall!
  • To ensure that the quality and standard of Green Top markets/events is maintained, please use table to floor covers that hide stock/boxes under tables. Any stalls that do not meet the standard of our markets may be restricted from future markets.
  • At inside events stallholders MUST not take deliveries or move stock through premises during trading hours (this is a health and safety issue).
  • No refund or transfer will be offered if you cancel a market that has been booked and paid for
  • If an event/market/hire is cancelled by Green Top, you will be notified and offered a refund (unless the reason for the cancellation is out of Green Tops’s control e.g, weather)
  • If Green Top are forced to cancel a market due to adverse weather that is out of their control and come under the category of ‘force majeure’ then a credit ONLY (NO REFUND WILL BE OFFERED UNDER ANY CIRCIUMSTANCE) will be applied less an amount to be deducted for administration costs at Green Top’s discretion

  • The reputation and success of the markets depends upon the quality and welcome of the traders as well as positive promotion. Where there are issues or concerns among traders, the first point of contact should be the Market Manager. Green Top does not accept collective negative comments, particularly within earshot of customers or neighbouring traders. Any issue can easily be resolved and Green Top operates a complaints policy. Traders found to be negatively affecting the market will be asked to leave and may be restricted access to future markets.
  • If you are using your own gazebo. With or without sides or you use your own sides on our gazebos, this will automatically null and void any Green Top insurance that covers your pitch. Any problems that arise you will be liable for
  • If the Market Manager deems the wind to be too high they will request you remove any sides or banners. You MUST adhere to what they are telling you
  • All markets must be booked through our website www.greentopmarkets.com once a market is approved you then only have 7 days in which to pay for those markets, after which they will be cancelled and your space will be offered to those on the reserve list
  • Any damages or issues that arise due to bad weather  (Act of God) are down to the traders and not the responsibility of Green Top. Our gazebos are erected according to the risk assessments handed in to our insurance provider and relevant councils. Your products, stands and displays are your own responsibility
  • If you are bringing your own Gazebo/trailer, it is advised that you arrive early, so that the team can integrate you into the market, whatever the arrival time states on the individual market, it is advised you arrive half an hour before hand, for example, if it states traders arrive from 8am, you can arrive from 7.30am. If you arrive after 8am and the traders are starting to fill the pre set gazebos, your stall will be placed at the end of the market
  • No electric will be provided at any of our sites, you will need to use Gas (certificate needed) or a generator (see point below) Weavers Market is not our Market, so their rules will cover this market
  • No petrol generators allowed at any of our markets. Diesel is ok, as long as it is silent, if your generator causes any issues to surrounding traders/shops/customers you will be asked to turn it off. It is your responsibility to make sure your generator is running quietly and safely, no refund or credit will be offered if we have to ask you to knock it off
  • Once the gazebo is set-up, you are responsible for the equipment, please do not damage/harm the structures. If any damaged is caused directly by yourselves (not down to wind etc) you will be responsible for the full price of a replacement gazebo
  • On applying to trade at any of our markets, you tick a box to say that you have read and understood these terms and conditions, this also includes, the details for traders only on the individual market pages, these give additional terms, conditions and instructions for that individual market, failure to read these instructions cannot be used as an excuse to not adhere to the rules.
